Our Sweet Collections...

You know ~ all it takes to start
an official collection is 3 of one thing...

So what do you collect?

I collect quite a few things,
under the criteria mentioned above...

cookie cutters, wooden boxes, baskets, old chairs,
vintage postcards, books, canning jars, candles,
architectural salvage, little white bowls, crocks...

and I even have a collection of tarnished spoons,
which was inspired by this photograph.

I love this verse...

By wisdom a house is built,
and through understanding it is established;
through knowledge its rooms are filled
with rare and beautiful treasures.

~ Proverbs 24:3-4 ~

Hope you're having a Sweet Saturday!!
Thanks for stopping by!

    1. Too funny Christine! Give those spoons a little time and they're sure to tarnish again ;)

  2. I have to be really careful about collecting, as I'm an acquisitor of stuff! I could be one of those hoarders on tv if I wasn't careful so I only collect art supplies, that way I actually use them up! Hehehe.

    1. I know what you mean ~ I find good deals at the thrift and antique stores in town, but have to really think before I buy... at least sometimes :)

    1. I used to be a shell and rock collector as a girl... I of course wanted to be an archeologist when I grew up :) I still collect stones, only now it's to use in and around my garden!

  6. I collect rolling pins.:) 120 different ones and counting...I know they are out there. I've seen them but cannot afford some of the rare antique ones. I'll bide my time and hopefully find them in a thrift store!

I love the Prov. verse too.

Have a great week-end. We are having our first blizzard-like day.

    1. I knew that you collected rolling pins, but that is quite impressive!! I love them as well... but for some reason I only have 3 in my home ~ one vintage for display (although I've used it for making pies), one new, and a smaller one for Olivia :)

I saw one recently with carved designs around the roller... a work of art! I love looking for vintage kitchen wares at the thrift store ~ hope you find something good ~ and you will, eventually :) I believe God gives us little gifts like that :)

Isn't that a great verse? Be safe with those blizzard-like conditions! Cold and sunny here... for now. It is Ohio, where the weather can change in an instant!
